Jones Profits On Barneys

Jones Apparel Group, owner of brands such as Anne Klein, Nine West and Barneys luxury stores, reported a 60% jump in fourth quarter profits Wednesday.

Its year-end results were given a boost by the strong performance of its licensing business, footwear holdings and Barneys stores. The luxury stores posted an 8% gain in comparable sales for the fourth quarter, while full-year comparable sales grew by 10.8%.
