Nilsson Leaves Nina Ricci

Nina Ricci designer Lars Nilsson has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

Insiders speculate that former Rochas designer Olivier Theyskens could be tapped to take his place. Theyskens, who was recently named International Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, found himself suddenly out of a job last month when Rochas folded.

Nina Ricci will not be showing at Paris fashion week in the wake of Nilsson’s exit, but will hold private showings of its spring/summer ’07 collection to buyers and press, according to reports.
