Valentino Names Facchinetti As Successor
Valentino Fashion Group has tapped former Gucci exec Alessandra Facchinetti as its new creative director. The news comes on the heels of the surprise announcement that Valentino Garavani is retiring from his namesake company in January.
Facchinetti won high accolades in her role as designer of women’s ready-to-wear at Gucci and will be given the title of creative director of women’s wear at Valentino.
