Valentino To Resign After 45 Years Of Fashion

Valentino Garavani is stepping down as a designer after 45 years of making his mark as one of the industry’s top talents.

Valentino will retire from his post in January 2008 after finishing his Paris ready-to-wear collection and haute couture line.

The designer’s exit leads to speculation over who will fill his shoes at the Valentino design house. Rumor has it that a younger, edgier designer may be tapped to take his place.
